Welcome Ms. Tiffany Parker as new Port Arthur Middle School Campus Director
Please welcome Ms. Tiffany Parker, the new campus director of Bob Hope Middle School in Port Arthur.
She grew up in Beaumont and is a graduate of West Brook Sr. High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Dillard University in New Orleans and a master’s degree from Prairie View A&M. She has 24 years of experience in primary and secondary education in Louisiana & Texas. She has worked in schools that are vastly diverse, which has granted her the opportunity to understand and value different cultures. She says she enjoys utilizing her educational background in mathematics to teach struggling students.
What she likes most about working for BHS is the courses that are offered to students. She says she’s excited to work on a campus where students are exposed to at least three different languages.
One of her goals is to maintain a positive school climate and culture by providing a safe educational environment where ALL students can grow educationally, socially, and emotionally. Other goals she has is to produce students that are prepared for our global society, increase staff, students, and community engagement, and increase student enrollment into the Early College program. I addition, she would like to collaborate with community/business partners to support the academic progress of all students.
She says that BHMS in Port Arthur is excited to announce that their 6th grade classrooms have been totally renovated, providing more adequate space for students to excel. The BHMS dual language program has expanded from grades 6th-8th in the content areas of RLA and MATH. She says that they are planning more parental engagement activities.
Outside of work, Ms. Parker says that she loves her family tremendously and adores spending time with them. She also enjoys reading and working with the youth ministry at her church.
