This information is intended for parents who use the BHS Beaumont campus drive-line to drop their kids off and pick their kids up at school:

We have a safety concern with traffic backup issues at the Beaumont campus and the Beaumont police department has asked us to inform you that under no circumstances are you allowed to back up traffic at the exit off of 69 while waiting to drop off or pick up your student at the campus.

We are attempting to alleviate all backups by opening another road at the campus, but the weather has delayed our progress. Please be patient and we hope to have the new road in operation within the next two weeks.

If you take the exit 69 offramp and see that Park North Drive is backed up, please do not stop. We ask that you continue to drive and circle back until you can safely enter the campus drive-line without backing up traffic.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience. Your child’s safety and education are our priority. Hopefully, we can have this under control once the new road opens.

Safety is our number one priority when it comes to your child.  please remember that we have many little children at one time on this campus and follow the rules.

ARRIVAL:  Please enter the drive through the gate closest to HWY 69 and stay to your right.  Drive SLOWLY (10 mph). 

èArrival:  Pre-K 3:  Please have your child’s car seat on the right passenger side.  You will slowly approach Building E. (the first building on your right) The teachers/aides will greet your child and take him or her to their classroom. PLEASE, make sure your child has their nametag on and that their items are labeled. your child will eat breakfast in the classroom with their friends and wait for the instructions from their teacher.

èPre-K 4 – 3^rd Grade:  Please have your child’s car seat on the left passenger side. you will slowly approach the back of the gym in the LEFT lane.  The teachers/aides will greet your child and take him or her to the cafeteria lane. They will eat breakfast with their classmate and wait for instructions for the day. PLEASE have your child’s NAMETAG/TEACHER HOMEROOM EACH DAY. *  

PICK UP PROCEDURES

èMorning Pre-K 3 dismissal:  Placards MUST be displayed in the windshield of your car each day. In the event you forget it (it happens) you must go to the front office where we will verify your identity and bring your child to you. please, park in designated parking spots and not in front of the main office when retrieve your child.

consider arriving no earlier than 11:40 a.m. and please be patient until students learn and memorize the process. We hope to have dismissal completed in 20-40 minutes. once the students learn the routine, it should get faster.  please stay in the right lane and slowly pull through to bldg. C and we will bring each student to the cars.

èAfternoon Pre-K 3 dismissal: Placards MUST be displayed in the windshield of your car each day. In the event you forget it (it happens) you must go to the front office where we will verify your identity and bring your child to you. please, park in designated parking spots and not in front of the main office.

consider arriving no earlier than 3:45 p.m. you will need to stay in the right lane and slowly pull through to bldg. E. please be patient until students learn and memorize the process. We hope to have dismissal completed in 20-40 minutes (please remain in your car during this process).  We will bring your child to the right side of your car and open the door for them to enter. please use caution and pull slowly into the middle lane to exit.

èPre-K 4 Dismissal:  Please slowly pull up to building D. have your placard on the windshield each day. We will bring your child to the right side of your car. They may need to crawl through to their car seat, but this is the safest method as we do not want the child to enter the car from side the open to the driveway.

èKg-3^rd Dismissal:  Please Stay in the left lane as you wait for your child who will be in the   cafeteria.  WE MUST be able to see the placard before your child can be RELEASED.  Please be patient and consider arriving no earlier than 4:00 p.m.  Dismissal is expected to last between 20-40 minutes.  once your child is in the car, please use caution when pulling out and exit behind the playground.

Transportation Notices

In order for morning drop offs and dismissal to run smoothly, *** we need to be able to plan for it.*** For this reason we are asking all parents to fill out a student transportation form. Student transportation forms need to be completed and turned in prior to the first day of school.

If you were interested in your child riding our school bus to school or from school, we will need you to fill out and turn in the Bob Hope School Transportation Release Authorization Form. If your child will be riding the bus the first day of school, we would need this form filled out and returned to the front office by noon on August 13^th.

Any changes made to the child’s mode of transportation need to be made in WRITING at least 24 HOURS in ADVANCE.

DAYCARE RIDERS

Please share information about our PICKUP procedures with the daycare.  we will direct daycare vans to a specific location. don’t forget to tell that school dismisses at 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Walk-ups

Due to the increased enrollment, there can be no walk-ups to our education buildings. Please remain in your car. If you walk up from the neighborhood, please proceed to the administration building.  We will release students after the car riders have been picked up.  Thank you for understanding.
